Both 口腔卫生 and 牙科协助 are selective admission programs offered on our 学习 campus.

Our campus 口腔卫生 Clinic provides preventive dental care for the Fargo 学习 community and surrounding area, offering invaluable clinic experiences for students in the M State dental programs.

The 口腔卫生 Clinic offers comprehensive dental 卫生服务 to the public by appointment. Services provided include cleanings, 除垢和刨根, 牙科x射线, fluoride varnish treatment and dental 密封剂. Treatments are provided by 口腔卫生 or 牙科协助 students under the supervision of a dentist and licensed instructors.

All services are provided during regular clinic hours on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1-4 p.m. 星期三早上9点开始.m. 到中午. Other appointment times are available for 牙科x射线 only. The clinic is open Monday through Friday during spring semesters.

Our fees are greatly reduced from those charged by private dental practices.

The 明尼苏达州牙科委员会 requires state and federal criminal background checks prior to licensure for both dental assistants and hygienists, and students in M State's dental programs must have current immunizations. Requirements are outlined in the program applications.

The M State 牙科协助 programs educate students to be essential members of dental health care teams. 学生学习必要的技能:

The curriculum includes general education courses; biomedical and dental science courses; on- campus lab and clinical practice; and off-campus clinical affiliations in general, community and specialty dental practices.

Graduates are eligible to write the

• 明尼苏达州 Board of Dentistry Licensure Exam
• 明尼苏达州牙科委员会 Jurisprudence Exam

M State’s 口腔卫生 program prepares students to provide comprehensive dental hygiene care to diverse populations in a variety of settings. 技能包括直接照顾病人, 病人评估, 口腔卫生诊断, 口腔卫生保健规划, 扩展, 根滑行, 射线照片, 预防措施, 密封剂, 局部麻醉, nitrous oxide sedation and customized oral health education.

• Apply current concepts of infection control and occupational safety

Following graduation and licensure requirements of the State Board of Dentistry, the dental hygienist becomes a primary health care professional, 口腔健康教育者和临床医生.
